Process Engineering
AES provides process engineering services for fluids, gases, cryogenics and other systems. We provide Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modeling and evaluation, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), line sizing/specification of system materials, component sizing and selection, optimized flow & pressure drop calculations and mass balance calculations.
- Perform process engineering studies, calculations, and investigations for the design of:
- Cryogens
- Steam
- Hydrocarbons
- Fuels
- Corrosive Chemicals
- Hypergols
- Water and other fluids
- Gases such as Nitrogen, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Helium, and Air
- Sizing and selection of vessels, equipment, piping, inline components such as control, remote, and hand operated valves, relief devices, filters, venturi meters, and instruments
- Selection and recommendation of materials
- Work closely with mechanical engineers and design personnel to ensure properly integrated system for safety and functionality
- Develop P&IDs for a wide variety of process systems and conditions
